This is a process where a pattern is repeatedly hammered onto the surface of an object using a hammer and chisel, creating a characteristic relief texture between the strikes. This requires masters to have precise control over the force of the blow so that an ideal pattern can be created through this constantly changing fine texture. Dial with applied index markers.
