About the brand
Mathey-Tissot was founded by Edmond Mathey-Tissot in Les Ponts-de-Martel, Switzerland, in 1886.
The company initially specialised in repeater pocket watches before expanding into chronographs. In the 1950s, it produced a Type 20 chronograph with a flyback function. Its current range includes the Evasion Open Heart, Mathy I Day-Date and Zeus Chrono Auto collections, as well as Zeus Automatic models.
