About the brand
Certina traces its origins to 1888, when brothers Adolf and Alfred Kurth opened a factory for watch parts and movements in Grenchen, Switzerland.
Certina is known for Swiss-made watches with a sporty character, emphasising precision, reliability and robustness. Introduced in 1959, its DS (Double Security) Concept provides protection against shocks and water. The range includes the automatic DS SUPER PH2000M and the quartz DS-7.
